Dr. Thomas M. Nitsche is a lawyer and partner in the Hamburg office and advises national and international clients on insolvency law and corporate law. He has extensive experience in advising on restructuring processes of financially distressed companies, also in cross-border contexts, and restructuring of companies under German insolvency law. He advises management regarding directors’ liability and regularly conducts litigation in insolvency law rescission proceedings for investors and companies. In tax law, he provides advice with a focus on insolvency law.
Dr. Thomas M. Nitsche started his research career at the Max Planck Institute for International Law in Hamburg and subsequently gained practical experience at Pritchard Englefield and Arthur Andersen. After his admission to the bar in 2004, he worked for a renowned boutique for litigation and insolvency law. Most recently, Dr. Thomas N. Nitsche worked in his own law firm at NORLAW and NORTAX in Hamburg.
Dr. Thomas M. Nitsche studied law in Göttingen, Hanover, Cambridge (UK) and Buenos Aires (ARG) and received his doctorate on the subject of “Konzernfolgeverantwortung nach lex fori concursus”. He is a trained specialist in tax law, insolvency law and commercial corporate law. Being a German native speaker, he is also fluent in English and Spanish.
