Jiabao Gerling-Li is a licensed attorney in China and an associate (Foreign Practice Attorney) at the Frankfurt office. As a member of LPA-GGV’s Chinese Desk Germany, Mrs. Gerling-Li advises domestic and foreign clients in connection with corporate transactions and financing as well as on general issues of German and Chinese commercial and corporate law.

Mrs. Gerling-Li is part of the Frankfurt M&A and Corporate Finance team. As a liaison between our offices in China and Germany, Mrs. Gerling-Li supports our clients in particular in connection with transactions in Germany and/or China, whereby our clients benefit from Mrs. Gerling-Li’s cultural experience and familiarity with the Chinese market.

Prior to joining LPA-GGV, Mrs. Gerling-Li worked as a lawyer in major international law firms in China. Jiabao Gerling-Li studied law at the Chinese University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, China. In addition to her Master of Laws, which Mrs. Gerling-Li obtained in China, Mrs. Gerling-Li also obtained a Master of Laws in the USA and a Master of Laws (International Finance) in Frankfurt am Main. Mrs. Gerling-Li is fluent in Chinese (Mandarin), English and German.
