LPA has advised a leading Swiss Pension Fund on the Market Entry into the German Renewable Energies Market

Munich, 2 February 2017 – At the end of 2016 LPA Munich has advised a leading Swiss pension fund on the market entry into the German renewable energies market.

The special purpose vehicle of a local developer, which holds the rights of an onshore wind farm located in Brandenburg which is yet to be commissioned was acquired through a share deal. The total capacity of the wind farm will be 13 MW. Supplier of wind turbines is General Electric.

The Swiss pension fund in the form of an investment foundation has access to an equity capital of more than CHF 500 million. The transaction volume amounted to approx. EUR 25 million. Further transactions are currently being prepared.
