Munich, 2 February 2017 – LPA Munich advised an Italian family office on the acquisition of 5 Onshore wind farms in Germany in 2016. Each of the sellers is a leading developer, one of them being ABO Wind AG. The transaction volume amounts to a total of around EUR 70 million.

The wind farms are located throughout Germany and they have a total installed capacity of more than 40 MW. As the wind power plants have been delivered by different manufacturers the portfolio also shows a technological diversification.

As the wind farms were acquired at different developmental stages, the transactions involve wind farms that are currently under construction and wind farms that have recently been taken into operation.

The family office felt confident regarding its market entry into the German renewable energies market through the experience of LPA in this field of expertise. For the family office, this transaction has been another important step towards the diversification of different portfolios across several countries.
