Deal closed! We are happy to announce that we have advised MHKW Wiesbaden GmbH and the project sponsors Knettenbrech & Gurdulic Services GmbH & Co. KG, ESWE and entega in the successful project financing of the waste-to-energy plant to be built in Wiesbaden. The financing has been granted by a consortium of three major banks and is KfW backed.

In an joint effort by all parties involved, the project was successfully brought to financial close albeit challenging market conditions.

The waste-to-energy plant will be one of the most modern plants in operation adhering to stricter emission limits than required under law and will procure clean baseload electricity and district heating in future. The plant is currently under construction and shall enter into operation in 2024.

LPA-GGV advised the project company and sponsors on all aspects of the financing. The team was co-led by Munich partners Dr. Gerhard Schwartz (M&A, Renewable Energy) and Andreas Feuerstein (Finance) and supported by Dorothea Schimmel, Maximilian Amrhein and Jacqueline Spletter.

Thank you to our clients for the trust they put in us!
